ive been getting pretty comfortable with my board and i just got back from boarding and ive been trying a surface 360 by first doing a 180 then bringing my left foot back around but i cant seem to turn ive tried reaching around my back first before turning but i cant get the handle close enough any tips or answers on why i cant turn it all the way and how to do it.

| Give the rope a hard tug to your back hip and only let go for a split second with your front handto pass it. Reach for your hand, not the handle to make sure you get the pass. Only let go whne you are sure its in the other hand. |

| yah give it a tug and get both hands on the hgandle..you can actually ride like that on your switch toe edge. then to come around let go of your front hand. then just push your normal front foot back to normal position. |

| If you have fins on the board you could take them off. That and running the boat at a slower will make it pretty easy |

be sure that if youre doing a fs spin that when u start the spin u kinda stay on your hells a lil bit and not leaning forward or else you'll catch your edge and plant your face into the water and be sure to pull the rope really hard to get some slack so you can pass the rope behind you _________________ only love i have... is for the lake

I have the exact same problem, I drop my trailing hand and start to backside butterslide, but I can't reach back far enough for the handle pass.
Should I give it a good tug and get some slack in the rope to make the pass? Or is there something else I need to do?
The only other way I thought about was going wrapped so I wouldn't need to make the handle pass. |

Thanks, I think I've also worked out that when I'm backside, my arm is boned out......I really need to be pulling it into the small of my back where I can reach the handle, which requires twisting my arm and the handle.......simple really!
I think the slack will definetly help me not losing my arms at the shoulder either........
Really looking forward to my next session now. |

got it, on cable anyway, blind surface 180, pull the handle in to create slack BEFORE starting to rotate, then let go with the lead hand and you come round on your toeside edge!
Thanks to all on this forum who have helped me get to this stage, I was so stoked today, next trick, cable raley! |
