I was browsing obrien's site looking at the valhalla and it lists the rocker type as progressive. I've never heard that term before for a rocker. What does that mean? I'm assuming it's like a parabola shape but I'm just guessing.

It means the rocker doesnt get steeper at a constant rate. The rate of curve increases as it reaches the tips. Basically a 3 stage without a flat spot, or a continous with more aggresively curved tips.

jason_ssr, makes sense. That would make the landings softer but the board not quite as abrupt and a little slower. That's basically what I meant by parabola but I was just looking for confirmation. I'm going to have to checkout that board. That's exactly what I'm looking for.

Good Lord Brad, you change boards like you change underwear....every other month! You're as bad as I was last year.

On a side note....let me demo that Valhalla when you get it Laughing

Nauty, I haven't changed boards yet. There's nothing wrong with looking Wink

For the record I haven't bought a wakeboard in intervals of less than 2 years.

The Valhalla is a sick board!! The progessive rocker really helps the board have great pop but it also allows the board to be faster then a 3 stage board. It also has a large v under your feet out to the tips that makes the landings really soft.

Check it out if you get the chance,
