IMHO the handle pass is the hardest part about the 3. If you have a trampoline, check my post (1 or 2 below this one) with diagram about how to set up your rope to learn handle passes better.
Be sure to pop up first, then pass the handle. Wait til you are at or near your heighest point before passing. To pass, yank like hell with 2 hands and pull the rope to your back hip. This will spin you. Keep the rope as close as you can to your body, turn the rope down by twisting your wrist and grab it with the other hand. You're backwards now. Now just let go with your back hand and this will spin you around to complete the rotation.
Don't worry about clearing both wakes until you've got the pass nailed, the try to go bigger. The less you cut going into the trick, the easier the handle pass will be (less tension). Of course, the less air time you'll have to do it, its a trade off....
Hope that helps.

I am having/had the same prob with the handle pass. Turns out my back hand was not even close to my lower back. Took a few HS W2W where I just thought about getting my back hand to my lower back. After that I got the pass on my first attempt. Sometimes it helps just to work on one aspect of the trip at time. Good luck.

Yea...I've heard that if you just decide that you're going to land backwards and ONLY focus on the pass, you'll nail it. Try that.

Im in the midst of learning all of this. I have landed ONE 1 wake HS FS handle pass 360. You just gotta yank it really hard. I forget to do it like in the sequence below and rotate it around and just sink because I miss the handle or I get the handle but when I land I get a huge yank that pulls the handle away. The yank is crucial.
