I ride regular stance and I am much more comfortable when the boat is to my right than I am when it is to my left. In other words, I prefer the wake to be in front of me or on my toe side as opposed to having the wake behind me or on my heel side.

Can anyone suggest some progressions or things to think about that will help me get more comfortable with the wake on my heel side?

Are you jumping the wake toeside, or just surfing the wake?

I can do little 1 wake jumps from the center out and from the outside in on both sides. I have not landed a wake to wake jump yet. I really enjoy surfing the wake toeside but this feels very awkward on my heelside.

Part of my problem is that very soon after first beginning to wakeboard last year, I fractured a rib or separated some cartilage on my left side. This was really painful to fall onto so I spent most of my time last summer riding on the side of the wake where I would fall face first as opposed to onto my left side.

ride mroe asnd force yourself to go out of your comfort zone a little bit each time you ride, it will make you more comfortable eventually.

Yeah it wont be fun when you bust out an S-turn on your toe side and then have to ride back over to the other wake. In other words keep your riding time on wakes evenly spent.

This weekend was my first time out on my own board with bindings to fit my feet and a board length appropriate to my weight. I found surfing the wake with the wake behind me a little more comfortable and actually preferred taking air on that side than doing so hitting the wake while on my toe edge. Small progress but it is something!
