There has been alot in the media about this lately, because of Cruise and Holmes, whats up with this??? I heard something about Aliens being the center of this. Rolling Eyes

from what i know scientology is a relgion started by L. Ron Hubbard. I dont know if it involves aliens, or what not. but i know there are a lot of actors in this religion. so i dont know if there are like huge fee's to be in it or what.

tom cruise drives me nuts when he talks about it. thats what i know for sure.

Junkee there are huge fees in it my aunt and uncle and kids have devoted there life to it. My cousin ran away from the church and now the church won't let her leave for a family wedding coming up and when I was in 5th grade my aunt told me to flush my ritaline down the toilet after my mom gives it to me because I am gonna die if I keep taking it.

yeah its a made up science fiction religion with a very high dues structure with a large planetary payoff for those who give the most dough.

I wonder why Lucas doesnt do the same thing with the jedi order. If he officially ordained jedi's, do you know how many would pay top dollar to be an official jedi???

freerider4, yeah. i hear they are very against medications. mr Cruise said he could heal people with out drugs or some crap. its all too wierd.

however i wouldnt mind being L Ron's heir. imagine the money his kids, or relatives make of this so called religion.

Lucas is going to wait a few years for the franchise to financialy decline and for the second generation fanbase to fully build, then he'll start in on that.

I don't know much about it, but when I was in the Clearwater area a couple months ago - one of the guy's in our office said his g/f just got a job. The owners of the company were scientologists and told her she wasn't allowed to make eye contact with any of the other staff members who were scientologists... Weird... He was faxing out resume's for her so she could quit post haste.

Joe, a couple of years back when brittain did their official census, people had to fill out a blank on the census that asked "religion". So many people jokingly put "jedi" that it showed up as a small percentage of the population and had to be printed in the official census report.
