So I left my Golf bag at my parents house last week. I had a brand spankin new set of Mizuno MP-32 Blades. Less than a year old titleist Driver and 3-Wood. Scotty Cameron Putter, Cleveland Wedges and a Ping Hoofer Bag. This was literally my dream setup.

So anyway I went to go get them yesterday and couldn't find them anywhere. Called the parents, they didn't do anything with them.

They live in a nice neighborhood where they dont lock their doors and often will leave their garage door open so I'm pretty sure someone was walking by the house, saw them sitting in the garage and decided to swipe them. Well I'm out a set of clubs until I get the insurance money for them. We'll have to pay the $500 deductible and I probably wont get enough from the insurance to replace my entire set.

The worst part about it isn't that I wont be able to golf for a few month its the fact the the thieves probably have no clue as to what they have and wont appreciate them at all. Its similar to a family thats never been on a boat winning a brand new SAN. They have no idea as to what they have and would be just as happy with a 15-20K Bayliner. These thieves Probably wouldn't know the difference between a $300 dollar Wal*Mart set and mine.

FUKCERS!!!!!!!

Sounds more like thieves love you. I don't care how nice my neighborhood is. When I'm gone, the doors get locked and the garage door goes down.

Tyler T, same here. And to me, the "nicer" the neighborhood I live in, the more precaution I take.

My parents do the same thing. I remember thinking on Sunday when we left for the golf course, "are you going to lock the front door??"

Nice setup, I don't know where I'd be without my hand-me-down Ping Eye 2s that I've had since I was 14 (14 years!!) Sounds ghetto, but they treat me right.

Good luck replenishing your bag.

I'm an adjuster for an insurance company, and I always hear from my customers, "but I live in a nice neighborhood". I keep telling people that thieves are going to go where the gettin is good. Nice neighborhood = Nice things (usually)

I don't know why people don't lock their home or car doors. Why invite a thief in? Unfortunately it's the world we live in.

Sorry to hear about your loss though.

Some of the biggest PUNKS I have ever met come from rich families!

Thieves are like bullies, they are always looking for an easy target... They got you once now don't let them get you again!

pureliquid, What can I expect to get as far as compensation on the clubs. I priced everything out at a discount store online. The total came to $1900. The Irons were brand new and everything else was less than a year old. How much are they going to knock off for "usage"?

hockeyplayer I'm sorry but your SAN analogy is all wrong, wouldn't they have to steal the SAN, and not know what they are getting for it to be similar to your situation. Laughing

Sorry for your loss, just trying to give you a chuckle. I use to Valet cars and mine was parked 30ft from my key station. When I was out fetching a car or parking one, someone got in my car (unlocked) and took my wallet and CD case. It's the most unsuspecting who are targets.

Karma is a bitch, they will get theirs.

I've had enough stuff stolen to feel your pain. Thieves are the bottom feeders of our society. A little Old Western justice would make me feel a little better sometimes. A rope, a tree, and a smile on my face.

If it makes you feel any better I've had my car broken into and my stereo stolen 4 times in the last year and a half.

Insurance hates me. 2 broken windows, 2 punched out door locks, 1 stolen pioneer, 3 stolen Kenwood's...

Now I'm on the cheapest CD deck I could find w/ an aux input for my sattelite radio/ipod.

I just got the newest stereo in today.
