I have no clue how to get this out. Could someone please advise me on the proper removal process? Thank!

Look in your owners packet and you should find 2 metal strips. Insert them in the holes in the upper corners (small rectangular) and it will release the strips that hold it so it shoudl come right out, just watch the wires because they are usually short and you may pull them out if you pull it out too fast.
