Backflip is way easier than a frontflip for me to do. Once you can see the landing you can either lay it out or tuck in. frontflip you don't know how high you are until your out of it. frontflip 180 and backflip are close to the same.

I learnt fronties on the tramp first. Never was able to get the balls to do backflips on my own on the tramp.. always thought i'd fall off. Fronts were easy cause i could do little ones that i landed on my back then go all out. I actually learnt them jumping off the tramp onto the ground (and my face) but thats another story..

Most people learn the front first, but the back flip is by far the easiest! IMO

backflip...most definitely. i can do about 10 in a row of backflips, but not fronts because i can't spot my landing.

IMO backs are much easier although like J DOGG said the front is most commonly learnt first as people feel they won't hurt themselves as they can tuck their heads in

I've been taught to do a front flip first. I have to get consistent with my landings before I can move on to the backflip which is supposed to be easier. Basically this means being able to do 10 in a row landing on my feet (I'm up to 8 now).

One reason for starting with a frontflip is you can start small and work through a progression: first step is to go from a seat drop to hands and knees and then flip forward into another seat drop. The next step is to land on the feet; you just have to push off harder with the knees and feet and learn to spot the landing. The final step is to take off from the feet and land on the feet.

Ok backflips are easier IF you have a bigger tramp like a big round training one.. but if all you have is a little rectangular tramp then fronties are easier to get the guts up to go for..
