i am having difficulty doing a tootsie roll. i can picture in my head what the rotation is, (drop front shoulder, toss the back shoulder for the BS 180), but i can't get the rotation when i actually try it. i've tried it once wrapped...didn't stick it, and i am probably going to work on that. any advice? thanks in advance.

Ok dude I'm not trying to call you out or anything well ok I am but honestly every post of yours I've read have been about how many years you have been doing a tantrum or trying a double this or a spiderman or tootsie roll.

"i have actually (honestly) thought about trying a temper tantrum off the double up. i've been doing a solid tantrum for 5 years now (since i was 10)"

So I say put up or shut up I want to see a vid of some of your riding and just so you know I'm not being a dick heres my vid from winter with me waking and Danny and Clay skating. http://www.wakepics.com/img/14791

Hunter

ps-one good thing are those stylish gloves in your profile pic. love them Wink

dude!!!!!!!! i'm not a poser man. honestly. even ask Colefooter because, although he has never seen me ride, he knows all of my tricks. we've been tryin to get to ride together since last summer, and we always talk now on AIM but he knows my tricks. i said i MIGHT try a temper tantrum...it depends if i have the balls to do it and i def. need to work on my double up timing. and with the gloves crap you gave me, those are just reg. ski gloves that my dad bought for himself but the chinese people that make them make the XXL too small, so i just use those instead of getting even more calises on my hands.

and with the tootsie roll....it's just a new trick for me to try so i can actually do a thing called GET BETTER AND GO AS FAR AS I CAN WITH WAKEBOARDING. i love competition so i want to go pro. plus you can go to other countries and board there and have fun with it. and IF (i doubt i will) i go pro before i end high school, then i can pay for my own college if i don't get any scholorship to help my parents out with money.

here is my list of tricks....i need to get my sister out next time we go to take videos so you can stop being a dick and basically calling me a poser

toeside: backroll, roll to revert, frontroll, scarecrow, elephant, 360
heelside: backroll, tantrum, tantrum 2 fakie, roll to revert, 360

i'm working on mobes this summer and blind 180's for new inverts and also raleys. i've tried a couple HS mobes, but i can't get the handle-pass quite yet. i will post a video when i can.

I haven't tried the toe r2r, I need to work on toe backs and get more pop. The only mobes I've tried is a crow mobe, but as I said in another post, I've never tried bs 180's and thats kind of an important part of that trick so I'm gonna work on that this weekend. Go for the raley, it's really not that hard, it's more mental than anything. I was scared of it for a while after a bad crash. Broke a couple ribs, and my upper body was freekin sore for a month. I'm doing them again now. I want to get more consistent on them and do some hoochie's but need more work to get comfotable. Sometimes I do some 911's but thats on accident, so I dont really count those. most of them are stargazed.

Is this K-wood Kid the return of dumassonwheels? Whod a thunk it.

ohio_wake_2008, just get real comfortable with BS 180s and combine that with the invert. If you have the two parts of the trick down pat, combining them will be much easier.

ohio_wake_2008, I have the same problem. I land blind and feel really disoriented. Youre like "what the heck, where am I?" and then i either get pulled over or catch an edge trying to unwrap. I just cant remember/find the handle to pass after I have landed. Its weird.

Tootsie Roll? Tantrum to Blind?? Work on heelside and toeside inside-out 180 to blinds. Then work in taking them w2w. You dont bust 900's until you get 360's down, do you?? Wink

..and if you plan on bagging t2b's and tootsies, count on dialing in blind landings both wrapped and handle passed

Yea its the return of dumassonwheels but I'm trying to learn to be nicer. I wasn't trying to be a dick I just got kinda agro cuz you wont stop braggin about your tricks. It just sounds shady that he hasn't seen you ride but he'll back you up because you talk a big game to him on instant messager? I know cole because I ride for slob gear(I think IDK anymore) but nothing is going to satisfy me more than an actual video so post up.

K-wood Kid, well Im not sure if "you" refers to me or "he" refers to me. I havent talked to him on IM though. I dont see why he would lie. Hes just trying/ getting advice for trying new tricks. And if its the other guy you are talking about, I dont think I have ever bragged about my tricks. I shared them because I was stoked on landing them, thats all.

If you werent talking about me, ignore this post completely. Laughing

LFDAM I'll ignore your post I'm not talking about you man. I checked out those pics but all I see is a tantrum with gloves and two scarecrows. Your talking about trying a pete rose so wheres the ts r2r? Also You say you started five years ago but then you also say you have been landing tantrums for five years since you were 10 so which is it dude?

For the tootsie roll you want to start about 15ft outside the wake and take a nice solid edge in. at the bottom of the wake you want to let off your edge and stand tall off the wake. Right off the wake you want to give the handle a solid pull with both hands to the small of your back. also right off the wake you want to throw it just like a ts front roll with 2 exceptions. 1. Dip your lead shoulder towards your back leg. 2. instead of throwing your head foward like you do on a front roll, try to put your chin under your back armpit. if you pulled and turned your head just right and at the right time the handle will fall into your hands almost right off the wake and then the boat just unwraps you. really bend your knees on the landing. The cool thing about this trick is you can see the water for the whole trick. So spot your landing. Good luck

LFADAM. Dont try to instruct someone on that advanced of an invert when you can only do a tantrum.

Phil, I see what you are saying but my advice was general. It is a building block. I did not try to tell him actually how to do the invert because I have no clue, I just gave him a good general tip/drill to make it easier.

And BTW, Ill be honest. I cant do a tantrum yet. I am trying them but have been unsucessful. Sorry if it came off somewhere that I said I could.
