btcarro, thats tight. We almost went for the 24 but stuck with the 21!! Looks like you will have it just in time for Powell Twisted Evil . Make sure to get her broke in good before you hit the road. We've put like 50 hours on ours already and had only a few minor quirks to get worked out. Congrats on the new boat. Maybe we'll hook up on the 4th at Pleasant?

Who is you dealer??

You are going to love it. I am still working out some minor kinks (as with most new boats) but overall an awesome boat.

Call your dealer or McFly and get the upgraded bags for the back. It makes a huge difference (my observation and several of my friends). It makes the wake larger (duh) but also steeper and much more firm.

The upgraded bags for the rear that I got from McFly measure 19x19x70 where the stock bags are 10x16x70 (900lbs each vs. 400lbs each). Since they don't fill 100 percent completely, I would say with the front bag I am running 2600-2700 lbs... very, very nice. I will probably have some pics of the upgraded wake after today but my pics never seem to do a wake justice despite what boat I take them from. Wink

You`ll love it.Theres so much room for storage is amazing. I rode with Dave Briscoe with his 24v and the wake was like nothing ive ever seen just with the stock gravity games ballast. Defitnely the biggest wake ive ever hit. My first couple inverts i threw on it I was overrotated.

I had a crawfish boil memorial weekend and Dave was out there with us. I never got a chance to ride with him tho. Jeff Kaiser was there too, and challenged Dave, but it didn't pan out, that would have been cool to see those two throwing down on the river.

Anyway, thats a nice boat your getting, hopefully, I'll get a chance to ride on one of those soon....enjoy.

My buddy i ride with some have the new 24 fter...That this is CRAZY. There is so much room and the wake is HUGE. The best art about it is...thet wake isnt that wide for a big boat, and the wake is really clean still...

I've rode on the malibu 23 lsv, and the wake is clean, but you have to get ALOT of weight to make it big. Is the 24 SSV the same, or is the wake fairly large with just factory ballast?

The 24 IS the boat to beat. I would have one for sure this year if it weren't for the length restriction on my closest lake.

Thanks Guys, I just got word that it will be here next week some time, coming straight from the factory! I loved my 22 but the storage and the smaller beam definately made a difference for me. I actually rode behind this boat twice this week, Dave briscoe has one and i rode with him yesterday and Monday! Like some have said...sweet boat, sick wake and not a large mass area to jump for a larger boat. The configuration colors I chose were the White hull with blue stripes, blue bimini, blue trailer, white grey interior with a blue rolled seem. I took the 340 horse cause the dealer said the big block had too many bugs in it, and i didnt want to spend the extra 6k on the motor for relatively not much more speed.
Anyway, I will post piks as soon as it gets here.

Busthard: the wake was big i havent ridden behind the malibu but the 24 wake is clean easy to shape and big enough for me. Shocked

Schmo: how much were the new bags? Question

the 21 is a sick boat too! I was going to downsize from the 22 to the 21 just cause i liked the look of the boat and the ride is amazing....then they showed me the 24! I was done from there, it wasnt easy explaining to the wife why i was trading in the 04 22 we just got 10 months ago (which is a great boat) for a new boat, Ahh but I did! I use Surfside the only Supra dealer in Az that I know of. Dan Lee is the main man (IMO) down there. The best part is they are fair with the trade in and are allowing me to keep some of my stereo equipment dual batteries and gave me a good deal at the same time!

ridinaz, the 21 is still a super nice boat man. I would be a tough choice between the 21 and 24. The 21's new interior is killer. I hear the wake is nice too.

Schmo is right, def get the upgraded ballast. It will probably be all the weight you need. Its 2000lb total and it is the perfect amount. As far as price i don't think it is much more. You have to order it seperate from the boat though b/c it excedes the factory limit....

friend of mine is the manager at an iron foundry, and he got some 50lb iron plates and put those all over his boat. they were about 2 inches tall, so he placed them under his sacks in the front middle and rear. That boat has a sick wakealmost up my waist.

Another friend had a good idea, he got the little pellets from like shot gun shells or something. Measured about 10 lbs, and then sewed them up in a little pouch. He's got a bunch of them in his boat, and he can move them around very easily. It doesn't puncture the seats, and if one happens to drop on a foot, it wont hurt like a 10lb wieght would. Great for weight distribution around the boat.

Dan is a good guy and will do you right.

That's what it came down to for me. The 24 vs the 21, but being that I spend evening sets on a small, semi private lake, the 21 was where it's at. Super stoked on the boat so far (30 hours).

I'll attach some pics of factory ballast, 1/8 tank of gas, driver, spotter. The shape makes the wake on this ride.

Storage is unbeatable, depth, looks, I could go on and on. Laughing

NAW--are you in AZ?? Semi private lake?? I have been trying to find a private lake. I would like to know the area where these lakes are to see what the going rate is on a house!

On Power hour on Tues. they had a crazy trick skier on there. He was from AZ and road on a private lake...it looked sick. Just curious!

But of course I am. Laughing

2000lbs total?

Weight = L X W X D * 0.036

Stock bags:
Front: 19x19x88 = 1143lbs but rated at 1000lbs since it can't fill complete because of the contour.
Rear: 10x16x70 = 403lbs each
Total STOCK ballast = ~1800lbs

Upgraded bags that I have from Marty:
Rear: 19x19x70 = 909lbs each however, they don't fill complete in the section that goes under the rear seat... subtract 100lbs for that and they yield a total of ~1600lbs
Total UPGRADED ballast = ~2600lbs or slightly more

You can get those bags from Marty (McFly) on here for just north of 500. It isn't cheap but these are big bags and they are basically the ProX series sacs being made by fly high.

One warning. Your planing time will go down. It is still very reasonable but you will notice a difference. The wake will get larger but more importantly steeper and firmer (verfied by a couple very good riders (not me)). I do have the wakeboard prop but Marty indicates it isn't necessary. You definitely want the 340hp engine.

I wanted to get a little crazy with some lights. i should be able to post piks by ealry next week.

nuckledragger, Yep, that's her. I keep telling her to enter some contests, but she's definetly not interested in the competition aspect of the sport. But, she definetly likes free stuff! Laughing

btcarro, Good to hear the boat's in, can't wait to see pics. Mako is making some rad LED's, in little chrome canisters that can be mounted just about anywhere. Not sure if they're ready for mass production yet, but I could get that info if you're interested. neil@mako-ind.com

Junkee, where did you here about San Tan Estates?? Did you see the trick skier on Power Hour last week. He probably was skiing at the San Tan Estates. Looked sick, no one on the water. It was narrow but you could make some sick passes I bet.

NAW, you def need to get your wife into some contests. She looks sick. What is the website going to entail?? Just a place for general info and converstion on Skiers Choice???

Naw, maybe you can push the site back another day? I am waiting on Dan for my boat. Last I heard he was stuck in Wisconsin delayed til tomorrow. I hope he makes it back soon I am getting crazy not having a boat and its only been a week! According to the dealer they already have three deposits on my boat so I guess this is all a done deal, I just need Dan to wrap it all up for me.

I'd definately like info on those led lights if you have them.

I'd like info on led lights too.

The Launch 21V starts at 43,995 and the Launch 24V starts at 49,995, I think.

The site will be up when him and I both find time. I'm sure btcarro's boat comes first!

I believe NAW was right but it appears that they are slightly more now on the Supra website:

21V MSRP: US $44,620
24SSV MSRP: US $50,620

I didn't think that the swing tongue was standard before...

Anyway, these are MSRP. My boat (24SSV) configured through the site MSRPs at 57 and change and I didn't pay nearly that much.

Shmo's boat is NICE! With the upgraded bags, the wake is like a wall - freakin huge.
Interior is really nice, top notch fit/finish, very comfortable for passengers.

You're gonna be very happy with the boat!
