Fellow boarders-

During the early part of the wakeboarding season (early May here in Indiana) I had problems with my forearms getting extremely fatigued.

I tried rock climbing wall at a gym and found I was working the same muscles.

Climbing a few times a week since has given me greater forearm and wakeboard endurance and strength.

Anybody else with similar stories of wakeboard cross-training between sports? (besides the obvious balance board/skateboard/snowboard)

Regards,
Tim

In your weight lifting workout, add in balance training along with plyometrics...

That will help your core-strength balance along with having more 'explosive' energy.

What do you mean by balance training? Refresh my memory on plyometrics, please.

Personally, I have found jumping rope works. Also, I use the inflatable ball to do squats against the wall.

work out ur back muscles also. I was at the Hilton's gym and they had a great machine to work ur lower back, no more cramps from only being able to ride regular.
