My family is getting a tower for my 2000 MBsports boss 190 plus. Skylon who is who makes the tower OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). We have looked at going through Wakeside for the tower and they said that they would contact skylon and get the template with the instructions for us on where to mount it but once calling skylon "they were to busy." Also we have checked into Proflight Towers. Proflight was a bit more helpful and would have a template for our boat. But the thing that is also the same for these two tower shops is we wont recieve it for about 4 to 8 weeks out!! and thats way to long for us all to get a tower on the boat. We have a guy here in town that builds cutom towers for boats. He has agreed to meet us with out boat at his shop and work things out, yet he has always bailed last min saying something has come up and his customer service is a bit iffy. What would you all suggest? Is there other places out there for us to look at custom made towers in California. Perferably in northern cali. Also yes i know about monster towers and there a great buy but thats not quite the shape were looking for. We want a classic swoops looking tower. Thanks for listening and please post your thoughts and comments Wink

I just installed an H20 tower from bigairpylons.com on my boat yesterday and I love it. It isn't custom but it looks real sweet and it is as solid as a rock.

I've Been looking at the tower at bigairpylons.com it looks like a tower that costs twice as much but how does it compare to a more expensive tower. I would be putting it on my '99 bayliner capri 1950.

monster tower. i've not used one, but i've heard only good things about them. the monster guy, i think his name is bill, is on here a ton, and is generally a very helpful guy. check into the monster towers, and see if they are something you would like.

Hydrocide in Rancho Cordova, CA sells custom Boss towers. Their number is 916-233-4129. I got a custom tower with bimini and 2 racks about a year and a half ago for about $2500 out the door. I was looking at Monster (which seems like a great company and product), but at the time the cost of a Monster tower, bimini, and racks was around $2000. For $500 more I got a custom tower installed. I have no idea what their current pricing is.

STPHNSN23, TxStateWake, He clearly stated in his post that he knows about monster towers and although they are great towers it is not the shape that he is looking for.

Thankyou all for your comments. We decided last night that were probably just going to wait the 4-8 weeks for the skylon. We all like it the bast and even if theres the wait it might be the best. Thanks again and ill keep my eye open for those other spots you all mentioned in the mean time. Wink
