Junkee:
I was actually in Phoenix this weekend and was looking at the area for a possible move down to the Sun state. It was a very nice weekend and it seems like you guys always have some great weather. I interviewed for a position on Monday and things are looking like I may get the job. How far is Bartlett from the downtown Phoenix area? I am looking into the Gilbert and Chandler area as well as Anthem. It seems to me that Anthem may be the better spot if I want to ride (closer to Bartlett and Lake Pleasant). Looks like you guys had a great weekend. We may have to meet up next time I am in town and you can show me some of the local lakes. My boat will likely make the trip with me and I am excited to check out some of the local lakes in the Phoenix area. Being close to Mead, Havasu and Powell is also a major bonus.

| junkee - Nice pics. Can't beat butter with some mountains as the backdrop. Just don't get that kind of scenery on the east coast. At least, not where I ride anyway.

Junkee, what up? Nice ridin!
Looks like Barlett is real nice right now. We'll have to plan to go out there before we head to Powell. Looks like nobody was out there. If that was "chop" I'll take it. We had some real decent water all day on Saguaro on Sunday. It got a little choppy...we just threw out the wakesurfer. We hit up Sagurao again last night and got some really sick water. My buddy AZMXER tried a dock start last night and stuck it...sweet for a first attempt. Cant get away with that type of stuff on the weekend with all the popo around.
Later

jumalian, tindy indeed!!
watsoc, how much do you like to drive? cause dowtown phoenix is going to be a good drive to any lake in the area. From my buddy mapquest.
Dowtown phoenix is depicted, for this reference, as 1st and jefferson. dead center of dowtown.
ok.
downtown to pleasant is 34-37 miles. est time 43 minutes.
downtown to bartlett 56 miles. a good hour.
downtown to saguaro about 41 miles. about an hour as well.
ok im tired of mapquest. heres approximates.
downtown to canyon lake about 41 miles as well. but different route. time similar.
downtown to apache lake well its about another 30-40 minutes past canyon lake(same road), ATLEAST 30-40 minutes. the road to apache is gnarly once you get to it.
IMO, if you want to ride and be closer to a lake. go for Anthem. pleasant is about 15 minutes from there, and bartlet is 30 minutes.
remember everyone, and their brothers go to pleasant. so bartlett may provide you better conditions as seen in my pics. standard rules apply, the ealry bird get the butter.
and of course if you have any questions, concerns, pm me or email me. ill be glad to help you out the best i can.

ridinaz, that was the chop that morning. of course it can get worse.
but our trip was good. rode friday afternoon about 4pm till sunset. it was just about perfect, and then saturday morning(above pics) was also just about perfect. except for the header i took.
it'd be cool to meet up sometime. the fuel pump went out on the boat so that needs to get fixed. but after that im sure i can get my crew to roll out for some riding.

Junkee, we should try to set something up at Bartlett for the 19th if you ride on Sundays. I have to work Tues - Sat. so Sun - Mon are our days out. Sunday at sunrise and Mon 4 to sunset. Hopefully your fuel pump wont take to long. You didn't get stranded did you??

but it was only about 400 yards from the (north) dock. we got a tow to the dock. so that was nice.

My family has a lakehouse off of arbuckle in OK and we got to spend an entire week there last week. The entire lake was glass and a total of five boats were there mostly fishermen
