--> WakeWorld Instructional: Going big with parks bonifay..

"The first thing you will need to do is get out about 18 to 20 feet from the wake. You will then start a slow progressive cut back towards the wake. Build your cut up harder and harder as you get closer. This will, in turn, apply more pressure to your line. Hold your edge all the way up the wake. As you near the top begin to straighten your legs out. With your legs straight and the rope low and near your waist you will began to pop off the wake. Be sure to keep your head up and look ahead so you can spot your landing. On your way down be sure to absorb the landing well so you don’t slip out."

That part is critical. Pull the rope in to you waist while you're setting up for your cut, before you ever start to cut in. It will almost force you to edge stronger.

Think of moving your hips to the handle rather than the handle to your hips. This does two things...first, puts the handle in the right place...and second sort of forces your shoulders back a bit which is another thing you want. Shaun and Travis taught us that and it works really well.

When you first start to cut, you want to hold that position, handle in, hips up, looking at the wake. To make your edge progressive, concentrate on digging in with your heels. Don't sit or squat down. At the top of the wake, stand tall and pull the handle in a little at the same time. This should help you "pop" off the wake. Also, Try to ride at a faster speed. I used to ride at 20 but started riding at 22-23 and it definitely helped me get more air. Hope this helps...
