hey everyone. im new to this site. ive been wakeboarding for a year and learning on my own. i just have one question to ask... im using a $60 65 foot low stretch rope. it has removable sections in it. is this a good rope to use, and should i remove sections? is a smaller rope better? what is the ideal length of rope i should use for boarding?

thanks for the help...

Sean.

In between FAQ and MEMBERLIST at the top of the screen, there's this button called search. Check it out.

Based on the information you provided, you're not going to get a very good answer either.

get a no stretch rope, you wont regret spending the 100 bucks, throw the other one in the trash..or give it to a skier, and the take off sections..its all preferance

yo man, definitely get a no stretch. spectra line is super popular but ive ridden behind other non-stretch ropes too and they work just as well. as far as length, check what that guy said but its all based on how fast u go, how big and wide ur wake is and what u like. if u have a really broad, huge wake i would use a shorter length. and vise versa. i rode behind a malibu VLX and found the wake kind of narrow, so i rode at 70 or 75 feet. plus, u dont want to land in the flats all the time or your knees will be pissed. let me know how it pans out man. try out some lengths, but personally ive never gone less that 60 ft.
