| I'm going to Wood lake tomorrow (between Kelowna and Vernon BC) for the first time, can anybody tell me what it's like and if there are any shallow areas to watch out for? |

| I ride woods all summer the south shore is a bit shallower and will make the wake shrink a bit but no serious threat to the boat at about 200 feet from shore. Along the highway in the middle of the lake there is a small rock island but it is well marked and not a serious issue. I will be out riding tommrow it's a dope lake, but i warn you to cherish this time of year for the next 3 weeks cuz soon it will be fricken wally world till september |

is the lake up enough to get through to kal? have you seen Jd wakeboard school on Wood yet? My daughter's going to the school in a couple of weeks.
Mermaid, kal is connected by a little canal, it's one of my fave lakes of all time. Should be a nice green colour still. |

| Bambamski, Kris just got his boat this week and is in the process of putting enough hours on it to load it up with weight. I am going riding with them this weekend. I don't know if the water is high enough to get through the canal, but i would assume it is pretty close. |

What boat is Kris running this year? Another X-2?
Mermaid, you think Kal is warmer than the OK? I always thought it was the other way around. |

I went camping up at wood lake last year and I found it pretty hard to get flat water. If you want the good stuff you have to be out on the lake by 7am or earlier.

Does anyone know if its possible to launch a v-drive boat in the corner of Wood lake by the tracks? I remember seeing a ridge of gravel about 1 boat length from shore. I think its caused by the wash when people drive their boat onto their trailers. Is this still a problem? I remember it being very shallow.
thx. |
