05 substance or wait for the 06?

I went to the LF taa today and tried a substance and it was incredible. I have enough money to buy it and they said I could get it for 355 but it would have to last me about 2 to 3 summers. Should I wait for the 06s to come out since I'm going to have to keep it for awhile or go ahead and buy it?

wait so you really like the substance but dont know whether you should wait for them to change the shape to buy it or are you one of those guys that wants the latest graphics. unless you are waiting for a price drop id buy it now.

I agree, buy the '05. You say it is an incredible board so why wait for the guys at LF to change it slighty for next year.

There's a 80% chance the shape will stay the same, and you like the shape, but who know's, you may like the next one (if there is a new shape) more. There's a 100% chance that graphics will change, that's the only thing you can count on, and it's irrevlevant. If there's no rush at all to get it, wait for the 06 to come out, and if it's the same shape, the prices on the 05 will drop, if the shape changes, consider trying it out.

what makes you think that you will like the new shape?

if you like the board then buy it. end of story.

buy the damn thing. i just got a 138, and it kicks a whole lot of ass. who cares if they change the shape? especially if you like it how it is now. besides, if you do buy it and end up liking the new model better, you will be able to get some decent money out of it by selling it early next season. that will bring down the cost on the new board.

I have an 05 Substance and love everything about it. I ride without the center fins, and it rides a bit looser but very nice. I say buy it.

Coincidentally I have one for sale, an '05 Substance 134 that's new in the shrinkwrap, never been ridden, if you are interested.... much cheaper than the $335 you were quoted...
