| So I can get an 05 Harris for about cost price, from a friend. Any one ride it? I was wondering the most about its speed and pop. Also how are the landings? I am going to get the 143 so I am hoping that will help with making the landings a little softer. I have no chance to demo. I ride a hyperlite premier 135 that I like but is to small. And a Double up Summit 142 that I really like but doesn't pop very well.(probably cause the Double Up was meant for riding its a defective board that was meant to be a bench) Any help would be awesome. |

NorthwestRider, this is all what i've heard...so i dunno how accurate it is, but it may help...I've heard it has TONS of pop...and is pretty fast. im sure with the board being a 143 the landings will be soft. and seeing as how be the vandall went i think he'd like a board that might soften the landings... _________________ www.Shadrack.com

| Check out the Militant. I've heard only good things about it. The Harris has a completely flat bottom, so I don't think the landings will be terribly soft. The Militant has a V-bottom (if I'm not mistaken), so it would have pretty nice landings. The Gonzales is a sick board too, but if you want a change look into the Harris or Militant. |

I have been riding a Harris since last season (had an 04' then I got an 05'..)
The board is super fast as well as super loose (without the center fin of course)and big pop.... The ONE and ONLY thing I did not like about that board was if you took it into the flats, it lands like you are landing on concrete. Hence the reason why I am now on a Militant....better pop and much better landings. |

| I agree with k-dub, that board lands like you are on concrete. It seems weird that randy has not changed his board for some time. It seems that as big as he goes, he would see where technology has headed, as far as addressing the problem. Maybe he is just one of those old school guys. |

NorthwestRider, I just made myself get used to taking tricks wake to wake is all. When I first started riding that board, I had a hard time getting used to landing in the flats, but got it dialed after a few days on the water with it....but if you are young as you say, your knees should be fine. |

Fine for now... what about the future! haha...
Man, the Militant must be a sick ride.. I've been looking for a used one to pick up for a decent price, but it seems like no one's selling them... guess I'll have to wait for next year to roll around! |

I recomend the Brisco board from Gator. this thing has crazypop, more pop than any board that I have evre ridin(04 parks, 02 04 Byerly,o1 trip, caddy, militant and a few others)This board has a good solid edge that just wont break loose it has cuped rails that run the lenght of the board. and super fast Some riders dont like the pop on it it is a little diferent and hard to get use to _________________ Hoochies not just for pimpin.
