try and land flat but have more weight on your back foot, to get the fin into the water again so you don't lose traction.

whenever i try and jump the wake do i want to be standing up more with the rope in very close to my waist? Also do i want to try and do an ollie like motion with this?

You need to build a good progressive edge. Meaning start out wide and progressively go toward the wake. You should be at your hardest cut and fastest when you hit the wake. Their is really no need to do "an ollie like motion". Cut straight through the wake and stand tall, do not bend your knees and suck any of the wake up. When you stick it you will see how the "progressive edge" works and how standing tall through the wake will give you all the pop you need.

Think of it like this. When you cut out to your furthest point hold the board flat for a second or two then when you cut back toward the wake you need to act like you are sitting in a chair to gain speed. When you are about to hit the wake stand tall and hang on.
