Anyone got any new info or ideas for mounting the homemade speakers? I just finished a Sweet pair of 6 1/2's and I wanna get 'em mounting this weekend.
Thanks for any help.....

The cheap route >>>>>Depending on your speakers, you can use some U-bolts covered with vaccuum hose (to keep it from scratching your pylon.)
Hope that helps. _________________ Jeff

The picture in my profile show pvc speakers attached directly to the pylon. The speakers came with mounting bolts far enough apart and long enough to do this. The speakers are from liquid audio (Ebay). However I just looked and they have changed their mounting brackets to ones that I don't think will get around the pylon.
Then I bought a Skylon rack and mounted the speakers onto that. So they are symmetrical now - but still up on the pole.
Hope this helps |

i just got some all weather speakers, best buy, radio shack and such have them. Get the ones that come with mounting brackets and then just get some pipe clamps and clamp them on. thats what i did for mine. _________________ www.hyperlite.com

I used Jeffs cheap route.
To me it seemed the best method all factors considered.
The tower on moombas are kind've short. The u-bolt method keeps the speakers up higher than brackets would. Looks real clean to. _________________ "I don't understand...what is this NO WAKE zone you speak of?...and what does it mean?" |
