This will be my second year wakeboarding but I intend to get an upper level wakeboard as I have taught snowboarding for 10 years and seem to be catching onto wakeboarding fairly quickly. I have a narrow size 8 men’s foot and weigh 135 lbs. During the early season, I may want to wear my scuba booties as the water in my primary lake is rather cold. Most of the time I will be pulled by a Bayliner 205.
The boards that I am considering are as follows:
2004 135 Era Biolite Wakeboard
2004 Blindside Blade 138
2004 132 Byerly Biolite Wakeboard
2004 Liquid Force Subjekt 133
The bindings that I am considering (including the foot sizes for the men’s medium) are as follows:
2004 Hyperlite High Back (7.5-9.5)
2004 CWB Zeus (8-10)
2004 Exo Suction (6-9)
I would of course like to test ride equipment before I buy it. But where I live (Breckenridge, CO), this is just not a practical option. Any advice anyone here could offer as to what my best board and binding combination might be would be greatly appreciated. _________________ Check out my wakeboarding links page.

go with the zeus biundings but not sure bout the board, thay are all good boards.
but i bought the vibes, which are like the zeus but the zues replaced them and i have no troubles or worries with them at all. lace ups are the way to go if you have high feet |

| I've got a size 9-9.5 foot and have a pair of size large HL Highbacks. Good fit for me and I really like the upper strap for the increased support around my ankles. Also, I ride an an '02 HL Premier which I believe is the same (or a similar) board as the '04 Era. You can ride with or without the center fins depending on how loose you want the board to feel. |

Thanks for the feedback!
Perhaps I should have been more patient and sought out further advice but I just could not wait.
Today I went to BoardersParadise.com and ordered the men’s medium 2004 CWB Zeus bindings and the 2004 CWB Absolute Platinum 134 board. The total will be $520 delivered as these guys do not charge sales tax, ship for free, and match any competitor’s price.
Now I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive! _________________ Check out my wakeboarding links page. |
