Whats up fella's i brand new to this sport and i have no idea what i;m doin.
anyway i got a Connelly wakeboard to a friend of mine said he couldn;t use it anymore cause his ankles are messed up.
anyway i think its a Connelly Dually (If that means anything to you)
anyway i;ve had a hell of a time trying to get outta the water today. i didn;t know if i was trying to get out of the water the wrong way or what.
Anyway i;m using a ski rope, behind the boat. i tried starting out with the board in front of me, both feet in front of me facing the boat with my toes pointed toward the boat knee bent. Is this wrong its gotta be cause i couldn;t get out of the water for anything.
Just lookin for anything to help me get out of the water. i snowboard in the winter time so i'll be ok with my balance i think just kinda wanted to know how i;m supposed to get out of the water. thanks guys _________________ n00bie

pointing your toes toward the boat might be messing u up your toes should be facing the sky, knees bent, heels almost touching your bum arms straight. A video would be helpful Higher education is a pretty good instructional video
Good Luck |

I have never gone wakeboarding before(I am looking for my first board) but when I was out with my friend who had done it before, we tryed to do it behind his dad's boat but since it was only 40hp we were not sure. So each time we tried to get him up his dad just floored the boat and my friend couldn't get up. Then we triend go twisting the throttle slower to only about 1/4 throttle and he got up every time.
So try having the boat accelerate slower and to a slower speed at first. _________________ Hard work often pays off over time, but laziness always pays off right now! |

Basically it goes...
Arms bent - Boat goes - Line gets tension - Arms straighten as the rope goes - Pull yourself up - Arms bent, rope to hip - Chin up, tits out |

Hey, yea I got up for the first time this weekend. I didnt know what I was doing until I read a bunch of stuff on this site. Plus I studied a bunch of wakeboarding videos. I told the boat driver to start slow and let me pull a little then increase power and I turn the board towards the boat, keep my knees bent. Got right up. Wakeboarding ROCKS! _________________ Mellow out........man |
