Congrats Russian, very awsome boat. I'll be looking for it out on the delta this summer. I should be out there in about two weeks breakin her in. I have a plan to launch in Lathrop, and try to make it to Antioch where I have family to visit. That ought to kill the ten hours.

Congrats Russian....My buddy's got a '99 Sunsetter VLX, it's pretty sweet and the wake is sick! Does it have the MLS? If so, we found that two full sacks on each side of the motor, the mls and like 250-350 in sand/lead in the bow sets that wake up super nice!!

I've got a '99 VLX as well....

2 550's on either side of the engine
1 550 sack in either the ski locker or the bow walkthrough area will set you up real nice with about 4 or 5 people.

if you have less people, you may want a bit more weight up front and maybe some lead in the back.

I want a new trailer this year (tandem) so I can get about 1000 pounds of lead to just leave in the boat.

My old Ski Ray throws a "decent" wake considering, but post like yours drive me right to BoatTraderOnline.com looking at the VLX's, Maristars and others on the wish list. (as well as what Ski Ray's are bringing)

I have talked to quite a few VLX owners and been on a few and everyone loves them, including me. Hopefully I'll sell "billions and billions" of towers this year and I'll get to post my "new" toy.
