Hi guys,

I'm really, really new on this wakeboard thing. So new that I don't even have a wakeboard Smile

I have a Waverunner III. Is that possible to use a Waverunner to pull a wakeboard?
I know that it would be great if a get a boat. but unfortunately it will not happen soon.

Thanks everybody

Let me be the first to say welcome. Yeah dude its absolutely possible. I started on a waverunner too and I actually have to say that I learned to get up and the basics extremely quick because of the mobility of the waverunner and small wake. good luck and enjoy.

yah bro, welcome to the sport. you can definately wakeboard behind a waverunner, but wakeskating behind one is even more fun. you can do a lot more stuff behind a waverunner on a wakeskate than on a wakeboard bc there is almost no wake.

Welcome and have fun. Wakeboarding behind a waverunner can be fun you just have to get used to it because you will pull the waverunner around when you cut hard. Dont worry about not having a board, I have been riding for 3-4 years now and I still dont have a board. I get free demo's though from my local ski shop so it works out alright.

as long as you're not wanting 2 jump, or you dont weigh over 300 pounds, you're fine behind a waverunner.

i also have a waverunner III and can get up without any problem, but my friend could not get out of the water because there was not enough power (he does weigh over 200 lbs, though)

Waverunners are the best. When its all rough out there and theres a bunch of boats just get your buddy to tow you through their wakes and practice spins off them.

Yes it is possible. I think that it is a good thing to learn behind. The reason i think that it is good to learn behind is because you can get basic things down. Since you will fall a lot it don't spend as much gas to keep pulling you back up. But after a while you will want a good wake. But if you are on a wakeskate you can have tons of fun.

I would say WaveRunners are better to learn on then a boat because the boat cant turn around as fast as the waverunner...And there is little wake so you can get used to crossing each sides easy.
