|
|
hey,
I recently purchased a new 2005 sea doo wake, would rather have a boat, but had to get the sea doo for various reasons. so, me and a buddy have goning to the the lake now a few times to wakeboard I am feeling very comfortable on the wakeboard, and can cut on my heelside extremely well and my toeside pretty well. but what i want to be able to do is jump the wake, i know the wake is not near as big compared to a boat, but it is bigger than most typical personal water craft, seadoo actually weighed the back down on this model.
i have read to stand up tall and all that good stuff, but it still seems like i'm doing something wrong, because i'm not getting the pop. do i need to angle up my front foot when i hit the wake or what?
any suggestions would be much appreciated!
thanks |

Don't angle your front foot up, you should be weighted pretty evenly otherwise the tip of your board is just pointed up through the time in the air which looks bad and you don't get as much pop.
In addition to standing tall at the wake make sure you are using a progressive edge which means you have the most tension on the line as you're leaving the wake, and make sure to edge up the wake as well.
Make sure you keep the handle down and in on your leading hip also.
Video really helps me, It's hard for me to knoe what people are talking about unless I can see myself doing it, so if you have access to a video cam or even a digital that takes short videos try using that.
There's other people on here who know way more than me and hopefully can explain everything better and cover everthing i missed |
