| quick question.. When shopping for a used boat from a private party and I want the boat taken to a machanic to be inspected to make sure all is ok what does the mechanic go threw. Compression and what else? also what is a good compression for a 00 xstar? |

*EDIT* Sorry, half asleep, read everything wrong.
Should all be around 190~. Depends on motor, go to your local MC dealer and they should have a chart they will use.

| he means like a compression test, I'm pretty sure it's measured in psi or something. the mechanic should know what it should be and if he doesn't then I wouldn't be dealing with him. but i understand just wanting to know before hand, I really don't know but it's probably about the same as any 5 year old small blcok of the same make. and it's important that they are all consistent with oneanother. like its better to have them all i tiny bit low as oposed to 6 perfect and two way below them, etc. |

| they should be able to give you info on how many hrs it was driven at certain RPM's so you can see if it was driven real hard too... |
