keep your butt to the board, but does the driver know how to drive wakeboarders? Because sometimes if its a new driver the pull you up pretty slow so that could cause the board to go underwater. If thats not the case, keep your butt the the board arms relaxed and stand up once your boards on top of the water! good luck!

From one newbie to another newbie.....for what it's worth I had the same problems when I first started but I quickly figured some things out.....Point your toes forward to get a little angle on the board.....this makes the water going under the board put more force to get the board on top of the water instead of sucking it under....also as it's already been pointed out keep your butt to the board and don't fight it ....let the boat do the work, much easier Smile cuts down on the soreness. And what I do is..as I feel the board begin to rise out of the water I begin turning the board toward the boat and then it planes out by itself. As I said, I'm a newbie and by no means an expert....can't even stay up as I cross the wake but I never fail to get up on top of the water Smile The driver also makes a difference in getting up. Very Happy Happy boarding.

snooks, yea dude , people get flammed on here all the time , dont take it personal though haha , unless its someone you know , then you can duke it out with them personally. otherwise just ignore it. But seriously , using the word "DA" instead of "the" , well its just annoying haha. peace.
