I am a weekend wakeboarder and I have noticed that several people have different rope lengths. Some are very close to the boat and some are not. What is the ideal rope length? We have a tower on our boat as well.

Depends on lots of things. The best place to start would be where the wake is the nicest. Then if you cant jump it either speed up the boat or shorten the rope. Its all personal pref.

most people ride from 65-80 feet. find where the wake is nicest on you boat. ususally novices ride shoeter and advanced riders ride longer lines.
