Hey, so I went wakeskating last night for the first time. I can't believe how much fun (also have a new respect for what I've seen done on a skate!!)

Anyway, I got up no problem, carved pretty good. I was trying to pop an ollie, and the board just felt real squirly under me. I went for a HS one wake jump, and just completely lost the board.

So my question...what should I work on to improve. Are there any beginner skills that I should focus on for the next time I go out?

Thanks,
Chip

Wow, and I thought wakeboarding would be my only addiction.

Once you get a consistent ollie try a body varial, or a shuv it. They are pretty easy to do, and look pretty nice. Also work on balancing on lip slides and stuff, but coming from a wakeboarding background that shouldn't be too hard.

Just ride and have fun! Cool

chipsevila, It's where you are riding and then jump up (just you not the board) and you turn 180 degrees and land back on the board.

i would try a few different boards to get a feel for what you like. but if you want a good board, i would stay away from companies that also make wakeboards.
