OK, right now i am riding behind an I/O with no pylon or tower, the tow hook up is at the very back, it's attached on top extending about 1 foot, it still pulls me down though, i was wondering, since i dont really want to spend the money on a pylon or a tower, if extending the ski tow up 2 or 3 feet would cause any problems?

As long as its anchored good it should be ok. Or you could make a pylon with some straps and a pole. Remember when you extend that pole you are adding alot more stress than it was designed for though.

I dunno what would be worse, a big a$$ hole in the boat or getting hit with a 3ft pole. Confused while riding

There was a great thread about making a pylon a while ago. I will try and find it.

u should be careful about this you see...the higher u get the pole up the more leverage that is gonna have an effect...You could end up ripping a big a$$ hole in the bottom of your boat as Ledmech said

My brother and I both have what we call a Getto Pole , I cannot get the plans atached to this forum since it is a PDF file. For about 80 bucks you can make a pole that's anywhere up to 10' tall.
PM me and I will send out the plans to whoever wants them.

Hey Dillard,

Look in my Gallery and go to diyTower.com where Bill (of MonsterTower fame) has kindly placed my "how to" instructions...

Good Luck

Wes
