Ok let me start by saying i ride a sante all the time and i think its my fav wake.
boat 1) 2002 sante was owned by canadian pro dave tzsuki
has 1200 hours
in great shape
tower speakers and lights
330hp pcm ex (standard)
no trailor, need to buy one
worry: 1200 hours, but maintained directly by CC
boat 2) 2002 x10 owned by some rich guy
has 150 hours
interior in perfect shape
exterrior decals damaged and gelcoat chiped
prop damaged and shaft damaged
dealer will replace prop/shaft do gel work and give new graphics
dont like x-10 wake as much
has tower speakers and lights
310hp efi
basicly what im asking is are the things i love about the sante still worth it considering the difference in hours, prices are very close so not a deciding factor _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

The prices in CAD are asking 48 for the x-10 and asking 46 for the SANTE
im very sure we could get the x-10 to 44-45 and the Sante to 43-44, trailers, i have no idea i assume its better to get it made third party then from cc? _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

Nor*Cal, What it really comes down to: is their risk in buying a boat with 1200hrs on it? _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

Jibsta, you're not saving any money buying the SAN over the X10, after trailer that is... So it really is a gamble. If you buy the SAN make sure you have enough money to replace the engine or at least rebuild it... _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

Nor*Cal, From a few different mechanics and dealers i have been told that those engines can expect 2000+ hours before they need rebuilds. _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

Nor*Cal, Might not be one, I just trust the combined input of various boat owners so I want to be sure that the engine can really hit 2000+ without rebuild because after that I don't mind.
Im not allready decided on the nauty, i think the x-10 is beutiful but i love the wake and accsesories on the nauty, I just want to be reassured on the engine.
I don't want a 50,000 dollar mistake. _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

2,000 normal hours. What kind of load does a pro usually ride with?

smokedog2, only 900 of the hours were pro to clarify and yes he prolly ran alot of weight.
what does sd2 mean?
so if it had about 900 heavy load hours will it still make it to 2000 under normal load smokedog2? _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

Jibsta, CC doesn't make trailers for any of their boats. All the trailers are done "locally to the dealership" I would guess 3k for a nice new tandem axle trailer.
It comes down to personal preference, I would vote for the SAN, if that's what makes the best wake for you. But then again 1200 hrs is quite a bit, especially with a majority of its life run with a bunch of ballast, ballast = more stress on the motor. I mean with the SAN motor it could last 5 years or it could blow up the day that you get it... _________________ wakeboards

| Jibsta, those wakes are pretty much the opposite. If your favourite wake is the SAN then you won't like the X-10. |

Bambamski, I know, it was the hours that worried me but we went up and looked at the boat today and its in top shape.
Little mis info this was byerlies boat in 2002!
it's weird because it seems to have some 2003 stuff in it and alot of kool stuff from his other sponsers (lights speakers etc) Im hoping to put in a formal offer tommorow. _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |
