I've found it helps mostly with spinning (getting the handle pass solid). If you can do a 7 on the tramp, you should be able to do at least a 3 on the water. I've seen it help my friends with tantrums. I'm hoping it'll help me with a whirly, I can do them on the tramp, we'll find out about the water soon.

Kind of off the subject, Does anyone know where I can find stronger springs for my Tramp. I got the Sams Club special 15ft Jump King, and I'm 6'4'' 250lbs and I hit the ground when I jump high, and I want to be able to go higher. Razz

Nice try.... I am calling a photo shop

1. Some black lines around you
2. Area between your leg(not sure if it is dirt or your pants)
3. Down a couple feet you can see the same branch copied and pasted over. It is just kind of floating there. Same with the tree. There is no tree trunk.

Good work though. I bet people that dont use photo shop will believe it.

i was thinking he was really high on that, orzech, you have a good eye for that stuff, i can see what your talking about with between his legs with the color not matching, and the floating branch but i dont see a tree with no trunk, but o well

back to the topic, i have used a tramp a couple times, i was afraid to try any inverts, i didnt want to get hurt, but it helped me get used to handle passes for spins

For all those doing inverts on the tramp....do you guys do them with the rope and handle or just free jumping?

first do them without the handle.... then do them with the handle

no point in try an invert with a handle pass when you cant flip and rotate without a handle. Work your way up to bigger spins and flips.

The handle does give you some stability though.

Very good call. I'm impressed. You're right. Most non-photoshoppers haven't noticed. Good eye.

Okay, but seriously - I have been practicing tantrums. Also, we have a net around the tramp, which makes trying bigger tricks a lot safer.

I always start out like I would behind the boat, with the handle in my hands...
If I'm having difficulty getting it dialed I'll try a few with out the handle....

I'm not doing mad tech tricks on the tramp anyhow but Tootsie rolls and stuff like that I learned with the handle right from the get go.

It is really just a simulation anyway so take what you can from it cuz on the water it all changes.

Don't know about the stiffer springs thing but I do know that the tramp helps you spin. I will try spins all day on tramp because it doesn't really hurt if I miss the handle pass and just fall down. Now on the water missing the handle pass at 23 mph and falling down hurts.

Would doing flips off a mini tramp help much? My back yard is on too much of a slope and I don't know anyone with a big tramp. I have one of the little jogger ones and can backflip. frontflip and frontflip 180 off it. I can also do them with the rope . Is this any good for training? lately I've gone to open gyms but they won't let me use a rope.

I think it's hilarious that you photoshopped something that's lower than I really go on my tramp Laughing

not that Im saying im that good, for whatever reason my trampoline kicks ass - we got it from a hardware store a LOOONG time ago and Ive never used another one that compares. Id guesstimate I can throw a bat wing a couple of feet higher than your knees on that photoshopped tanny Wink

You could also tell that the pic was photoshopped cuz the tramp was perfectly still.

I think the tramp helps a lot, but my friend only has a really small one, so we can only do 360s or 540s at most.

i find that i have more balls on the water than i do on a tramp. maybe its because i dont have a tramp and im not used to it. my parents wont let me cause my sis broke her ankle and had to get screws and my bro fell off onto a rock tryin a backflip and got a gash down to the bone. shitty deal for me man/woman(thats fo u kim!!)
