Just a few questions:
Is it easier to try and pass the handle on the landing or just land blind?
Do you take a softer or bigger cut then normal?
Would slowing the boat down help make the landing easier?
Any advise would be good. Right now I can whirly every time I throw it. I tried to tantrum to blind but my muscle memory made me whirly instead anyways . I just tried the whirly 5 yesterday and made the rotation and landed over my toes but crashed forward. I won't be riding until the weekend so If I do get a vid of my attempt it won't be untill then. |

i think its easier to land blind ... i do the exact same speed, cut everything when attemping this trick i just throw it faster and stay inverted longer...... i think if you slow the boat down you wont spin as fast either. my .02 _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

| als132, For the whirly it really helps to do them on the trampoline. I learned it on the tramp but can actually do them better on a wakeboard. First thing is you don't really want a hard cut like a normal tantrum. Cut out wide take a mellow cut in and do floaty tantrums focusing on going straight up and w2w or just past. Now take the same cut, pop straight up and get the handle in front of your face before you throw your head backside. If you throw the head first it will make the handle really hard to get in the overhead position. from here you should unwind and get the handle down to your lead hip or you will get yanked forward on the landing. If that was unclear just ask. |
