photoshop help

I need help with my ps skills. what does everyone recomend as a learning tool. I have photoshop7 for dummies, its a good book but I'm finding it lacks in certain areas. For example; I'm trying to learn how to put matted looking frames on my photos, but my book doesn't really explain how to do this, only a very basic descriptoin on where to start.
I recently purchased a 20d and I want to start messing with proccesing and such.
So, what does everyone reccomend.

The Art of Photoshop by Daniel Giordan. We used this book in the first digital photo class I took. Great explanations and beautiful pictures, I highly recommend it.

when I'm looking for a specific effect like that I'll usually just search on the web. There are a lot of tutorials out there on PS that can show you some really cool stuff.
