|
|
| ok i have G3 wrangler 185 fs. It is a deep v boat, and is not really ideal for anything but tubing. It does not have any place to put a pylon, but i dont thing the little hook on the back is going to do it for me. I would like to get a pylon for it but i don't want to go through the hassle of having to mount it. I was wondering if there was such a thing as a pylon that can be easily installed with out doing anything too permenant to the boat. Also, i would like to know what i can do to make a bigger wake on the boat. It is a deep v and the wake it produces is kind of small. Even for a newbie. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! |

Fly high pylons are easily mounted, just check their site out.
As for weight, get some 5 gallon drums filled with water, or fat sacs.
Do a search, plenty on this subject. |

I have a friend with an old deep v like that and he put a joystick tower on it. I think it only cost him about 500 and it comes on and off really easy. As for ballast, get some fat sacs. _________________ pain heals, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever |

why not a tower instead of a pilon? the joystick that i mentioned is only 1 solid bar and leashes to the bow, works pretty good. I would think you would be able to get a universal pylon though even with an outboard. Post a pic of the boat. _________________ pain heals, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever |

well, the idea for the joystiick is not a bad idea, but i have very little storage as it is. when storing my boat, i would have to take down the tower (not too hard) then find a place to store it in my tiny ass garage (very hard).
this is the factory pic of the boat.

The joystick tower might not work as well for you if you have the trolling motor on the front. The friend of mine who has one takes it off anytime the boat is not in the water and just lays it in the boat, it is a 21' ski boat though so i dont really know if it will fit in yours. _________________ pain heals, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever |
