I can get a set of these for a fair price just wondering if they are worth it or will i regret picking em up? Pros / cons or other mid price range recommendations?

Thanks

I just bought the '04 Split XL bindings and they seem comfortable and easy to use. They are supposed to be one of the medium to high range from Hyperlite. I haven't been able to use them yet, but I crammed my feet into them today and they feel very comfortable: there is no pressure on any one part of my foot & the footbed is soft and flexible.

I kept them on for about 30min standing and playing on my board and my feet didn't hurt at all after, However on the front laces, after you have tightened them up I'm not quite sure what you're supposed to do with the excess lacing, there's not a good place to tuck it in, but I think all of their bindings are like this.

Overall I think I'll like them very much.

Hope this helps.

cool how big is your foot and what size do your have? The large says it fits 10-15.5 Im an 11-11.5 but it sounds like there could be alot of extra bulky room in there seeing as it fits up to a size 15.5 foot.

I wear a size 12 shoe. I can't really say how snug it fits because I haven't actually been in the water with them. I actually just crammed my feet into the brand new dry bindings just for shitz and giggles. They seemed to fit snugly in all areas, but I'm not sure how much they will loosen up once they are in water. If you want I can put them in my bathtub and then put them on, I got nothin else better to do all day, lol.

I had a pair of 2003 splits and they worked good for me(11.5 foot with standard bindings).
About the excess laces, tuck them under the top velcro strap it works just dandy.
I say if you got a good deal on them you are going to seriously want to think of taking the seller up on that.

like
liquid force alphas-super comfortable, and can be used up to pro level
easy to get on, and just good quality

i just bought some 04 split bindings off of ebay. i'm a size 10.5 and i got the standard size (6.5-11.5). They are just a little tight but overall they fit pretty well... I can't see how a size 11.5 could wear them though.

I have size 13 feet and I love my '03 Split XL's. With my big feet getting into bindings (even with lube) is a pain. I'll acknowledge that there are more high end bindings that provide more support but I've been very happy with these.

I demo'd the bindings last year and I liked them. Good solid feel.

i bought the standard '04 splits at the beginning of last season. I have about 10.5-11 shoe size. they are pretty comfy and fairly ez on/off especially with a lil lube. I moved up from a beginner package to int/adv and they are holding up fine.

Pros: they hold hard (havent come out on a digger yet), fit a large range of feet, comfy footbed (big air = hard landings)

Cons: they pinch my toes a lil on long sessions, not very flexible(for poking out grabs)

Overall: happy with my purchase, i think im ready for a lil more flexible binding, at the time they did a great job!
