I just started trying these. I get the grab and a real good extension and into the flats but when i pull it back i land still crunched alittle and go out the front. The trick feels really cool and my upper body is staying tight I just need alittle more time.

Any ideas?

um sounds like you could cut harder so youd have more hang time to pull yourself down ... or pull down earlier ..or dont take it as big so you body doesnt sway back as much

Is the trick supposed to feel all tight and stuff or more relaxed? My buddies said it had the right trajectory or whatever but i just landed like i overotated a frontroll or somethin

Are you pulling it back down? Keep your arm like a 'L' and dont extend too far away from the line. Land real low on your toes. If you have some recent vids, watch how Harf lands toeside.

Yeah i'm bringing it down but not landing on my toes. Mostly landing flat but on top of the board with my knees still bent. How can i get more on my toes pull the handle to my side/hip, or move the handle towards the wake.

make sure you pull it down to your hip and try looking towards the shore that might help you landing on your toes

with enough tension off the wake during takeoff, the board should shoot out up and behind you like a slingshot. Keep the rope tight by not letting it out (hence the "L" shape of lead arm) and the board should glide right back under you after full extension.

As far as landings, extend your legs AFTER the board is back under you, then bend them swiftly and smootly to absorb the impact of a ts landing in the flats. when you hit that water, really focus on keeping your chest up, facing the shore, and also have it directly over your toes to keep you edging in the right direction. Also sticking the handle in your imaginary hip/back pocket will enforce that edging in toward the shore.

hope this helps. write back if anything above doesn't work out for you.

Yeah that was clear enough, thanx. i think i extended too far cuz i did'nt keep my elbow bent.
your prob at an advantage and you can use your lats to pull back faster, with your elbow bent.
