Ok I'm tryin to get better at editing for wakeboarding and here's a sad attempt. Please tell me how to improve it....

JamesWatts, haha - I agree Linkin park is getting over used on videos

Overall not a bad attempt. You can start playing with some other things than the slow motion....maybe try some reversing of the video. Also try to get some other video angles...If you can a chase boat always looks cool, or a tube.

also when you are editing it is a good idea to try to get the rider to take off on one beat and land on another....That really makes the video go with the flow of the music.

I agree that the other shot angles are desireable but are hard to get without a second boat and driver. With gas at $1 / litre, chase boats may get ahrder to find! You can also try getting different shots from the boat ie some closer up (head and shoulder - pull back for the trick) and some wide. If there is a suitable place, put the camera man on the shore and drive the boat past him.

The best source of ideas I have found is the Etreme sports channel. See an effect and try to figure out how to duplicate it.

what garveyj said is key. editing to the music always makes a video that much better. if u have a program where you can put a music track in at the beginning of your edit job, then do it and try to make the beats line up with the tricks.
