|
|
Im not a slider professional but I think this would be a smaller version of an A-Frame without the huge approach. Anyways, I thought this might be helpful to those building their first slider, or want something simple and inexpensive. My roomate built this slider in Gr 12 Woods class and he took a few pictures as he went along. Cost less than $400 CDN to make. We filled the barrels with water to help stabalize it. We also put plywood over the sides to finish it up a bit. We used two long bugee ropes attached to steel blocks at each end of the slider. We stretched out the bungee rope as much as possible and then dropped the anchors. Worked quite well, and allowed the slider to move a little bit with the waves. Hope this is helpful.
PM me for more pictures, or higher res pictures. I cranked the quality down on these for size & storage reasons. Here are the ones I found to be most helpful:

the angle is to steep on the step up.
You'll figure this out when you go to try and hit for the first time. _________________ www.DallasWakeboarding.com |

If you put water in the barrels make sure that you have the barrels attached to the slider or if the water gets rought the barrels will pop out and float away. _________________ www.Crawlinbc.com |
