I wouldnt go for a Parks generally. Especially since you dont appear to have been riding for a long time.

There are a lot better boards that have more control and pop off the wake just as well as the Parks does. The Liquid Force Substance and Subjekt boards, The O'Brien Player and CWB's Absoloute boards to mention a few.

Oh and it's the rider that makes the board, not the board that makes the rider Wink

Yeah what i would do is check out some boards you like, go to your local shop and demo them. At most shops if you demo they will take the price u pay to demo and subtract it from the cost of the board when u buy it. Helps out a little. But the best way is to just try some boards and see what you like.

ive been wakeboarding 4 about a 1 1/2 yrs & im looking 2 get a hyperlite motive. i can do wake 2 wake, but weve been leaning behind a small fishing boat so it doesnt create that great of a wake, i can 180 & powerslide...i havent really tried anything much bigger yet but i was wondering if the motive is a good board??

chuckaluck17, the motive won't let you progress that much. I would look at more something like the Liquid Force Omega or Trip. More pop, seeing as you have a small wake and both have a multi-fin design for more control.

Actually, the Motive is a really solid shape, and it won't limit your progression at all. It isn't the best board for everyone (it's a little slow, doesn't have much rocker) but it certainly won't hold you back. In your case, chuckaluck, you should be looking at boards exactly like that one (if you want another option, check out the DoubleUp pure ride) because a small continuous rocker is the best choice for riding on a small wake.

yeah i dont suggest hyperlite unless youre a beginner. It sounds that youre getting the hang of this sport called wakeboarding and you should probably leave hyperlite in the dust along with your newbiness. Im starting to think you should look and liquid force. I currently own one and im pretty much happy with its performance so far...
