taking back sundays "a decade under the influence" ( or any of their stuff IMO), any of The Used , A.F.I.'s "leaving song pt.2" ( i think its pt.2 , any ways its #2 on the Sing the Sorrow album) , try to find a song called Wasteland , its by a local band in knoxville called Ten Years . its awsome. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

I wouldn't go with taking back sunday, unless listening to guys cry into microphones get your adrenaline flowing. Swollen members, timberland and magoo. thats what I listen to. _________________ www.glassjaw.net

Never ride better than Barry Manilow, Kenny Rogers, Bee Gees & anything by the Pointer sisters blasting out of some 1010's.

any more out of the ordinary?
Wakerider, I love Swollen Members for riding as well (they play live every summer where I'm at and I always go - they kill sets) - those other artists I will definitely have to try.

Old Fugazi and Minor Threat is good, but sound quality will probably suck - regardless where you get it from.
Also, there's a band called the F**king Champs (obviously without the *'s), and a similar sound coming from Embrace. They are both metal instrumentals - no lyrics. Pretty cool.
Shouldn't this thread be in Non-wakeboarding?

I second Rufio's vote for AFI. To get the adrenaline going there is nothing better! Anything off of "Sing the Sorrow" or "The Art of Drowning" is good. I also recommend System of a Down. _________________ "I know violence isn't the answer, I got it wrong on purpose." |

shaft,
Halfway Home is a non main stream band that has two of their songs featured on
the Downside Up video. They are a mix between Thrice and Taking Back Sunday
it is good stuff you should have a listen. _________________ "say what you will, say what you mean, you could never offend your dirty words come out clean"-Incubus |

were probably gonna see it alot. at least as long as people are too lazy to search for it , or are in too much of a rush to go from page to page on the forum to find it! but its cool , i dont care hah! also how could i forget RUFiO , theyre real pop-punkish but its fun to ride to. Also some Brand New will do you good. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

Does no one on this board choose their own musical tastes??
Again I say, with some members, as long as it had a stamp saying "wakeboarder.com forum approved," they would go out and do it no matter what it is. |

Mitchell, Something Corporate is a must IMO. Also some Brand New and Finch. Atmosphere for sure, gotta represent the Land of 10,000 Lakes!
Also, Hot Water Music (My favorite), At the Drive-In, Swinging Utters, Reel Big Fish, the Bosstones, Suicide Machines, old Queens of the Stone Age (especially the song "If Only"), James Brown, Cake, Naughty by nature's song "Feel the Flow" I could go on and on! |
