with little to no ballast.
whats everyone gettin for 'gas hourage'? i may be trying to get a new boat this summer and am just curious about what everyone gets on average. right now i usually get 10-20gal per day. on the old boat i could stretch 10gal into 3days if the wind cooperated and we didnt have to cruise to the north shore.
and just to note ...im not THAT concerned with the price of gas. just curious about how long a 30+ gal tank will last. |

I burn through 40 gallons on a good weekend. 5-6 hours riding playing per day. Combination of ballast and non ballast. Oh it's an 04 SAN _________________ I hope the weather is calm as you sail up your heavenly stream |

4gph with no ballast, 7-9gph with ballast. With ballast we get a full sunday of riding/relaxing in on 32-36gallons. _________________ Reverend Dr. Jay

How do you manage to get better mileage out of your boat with it full? _________________ <insert witty banter here> |

I have a Toyota and run 1.5 to 2k of weight at 3.5 gph. Same horsepower as a new Xstar, less weight. 61% better efficiency than a Chevy 350 (indmar or mercruiser)
Don't mean to gloat, but people should know that these boats are out there and pretty cheap right now. _________________ Silver Skurfer |
