premiere 6.0 help needed again.

alright i captured my video i want to edit and deleted all the audio from it. then added the music track that i wanted to use. just to check it out i went to watch a preview and there was no music being played and the video footage was extremly choppy. looked almost like a slide show. when i exit the monitor screen and drag along the timeline i can hear the song so i know it's loaded. just to be sure i checked a previous video and the same thing has happened. any ideas?

also i can watch the videos separatly away from premiere and they're just fine. do i have to compress them before i put them in or what?

hey derrick it sounds like the computer is having a hard time keeping up with the program...it happens. Try to export the project as an AVI or quicktime and see if the final product is still having the same problem....OR give the machine a fresh reboot and try again...thats all i can really say.

i just figured it out. i didn't unhook my camera from my computer and it was sending the info back to the camera and playing it through there bogging it down. i got it fixed now so thanks.

ok you need to check to see if the camera is still plugged into the computer. if it IS still plugged in the camera will act as the monitor and play things (video and audio) and the computer monitor will play jerky and will not play audio (because its played by the camera).

if your camera is still plugged into the computer when your having this problem then turn it off and unplug it and see if that helps
