| sorry, this might sound kinda stupid, but i live in seattle, and we have no sliders around here, were all about nature i guess......but here comes the stupidity: i snowboard a bunch, and i know you can catch your edge on rails with a snowbaord just from the steel edges creating burrs, but do you ever catch your edge on a wakeboard when on sliders (catching on a loose screw or nail doesn't count.). thanks |

| what's up, I'm from seattle too and plan on building a slider this summer when I get home from Australia (June 30th), I'm in North Seattle so right next to shoreline pretty much. Just letting yo uknow in case you ever want to check it out, I'll probably be posting pictures of the build ans stuff on here so just look for that i guess. Oh my parents live on Lake Wa, that's how I'll be pulling this all off. |

i hear that catching your edge is super rare. and that makes sense, cause a snowboarding edge is much sharper than a round wakeboarding edge? oops, no question mark. _________________ Strike another match, gonna start a new!! |

Yeah I'm off lake city way at about 125th. The boat we have at our house right now I haven't rode behind yet but it's a '95 Sea Ray 19' I/O so not the best but ok. and hopefully it will have a tower by the time i get back but that's kind of up in the air.
I'm planning on building a half rainbow kind of like the one in the slider plans section here (http://www.wakeboarder.com/display.phtml?id=138) but it will be a bit longer and easy to disasemble/reasemble.
I'm also planning on wakeskating a lot this summer maybe more than wakeboarding depending on how it goes. |
