I tried a few of these today, seemed actually easier than a raley once you get used to it...
the question I wanted to ask was what kind of cut do you guys take? I know you don't edge nearly as hard as a raley, but would the best approach be to start really wide and just use a smooth progressive edge all the way in? _________________ http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=16993 one of few trips i got to make to the lake this year |

you want to take a smoothe progressive cut in like you said, but bend your knees more than you do for a raley. you want to bend your knees so that you can get more height so you can hold that grab. Bending your knees will also help you keep the board from snapping too far back making it hard to grab.
hope this helps

oh yeah, I found that out the day after I made that post I think
I would come in with a smooth progressive cut, pop up - but as SOON as I got the grab, I wouldnt tuck my knees in anymore, which was making it kind of stargazy and pretty damn hard to pull back down.... pretty sketchy.... next time out im gonna pull my knees in more, that should make it much easier to pull back down.
It's funny the first one i actually attempted, I tucked my knees in nicely and the tension wasnt bad at all when pulling it down, even though I didnt ride away from it....
thanks for the advice _________________ http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=16993 one of few trips i got to make to the lake this year |
