210 horsepower is pretty damn good for an I/O.

Our old 1997 Four Winns had the Volvo 5.7L V8 and it had 215hp.

wow those seem like some seriously low ratings for a 350. Even in 1985 with a 2 barrel carb the 5.7 marine from all manufacturers I know of got like 260 hp....at sea level tuned perfectly of course. I dunno where that comment came from about 210 hp being good for an i/o though ewater.....most of the fastest boats in the world are i/o's pushing 3000 horsepower.

HP rating should be around 250 in a 2bbrl 350 carb on an I/o. My father in law has a larson with a 350 carb and its rated at 250. I have a 2000 Larson 305 carb rated at 220 hp.
Oh, and my 220 hp teamed with a 18 pitch 3 blade prop has TONS of hole shot and a top speed of 58 mph, but that depends also on outdrive ratio.
