hey, new to this board. ok, i can ride switch but it is very unconfortable and i cant really handle situations with out falling. i know that going switch is key in wakeboarding. so what is the best way to learn/ get better at going switch? i heard ride a skateboard switch for a while helps. _________________ yuo can raed a wrod if the frist and lsat letetrs are in the rihgt sopt. |

dude the best way to learn switch is just to keep doing what your doing, sure it feels uncomfortable but the more you do it the more you will get better at it. i can almost jump wake2wake switch and im not very good but you gota be patient. as for the skateboard well it didnt really help me at all coz it feels diff to wakboarding but yeh it may help you _________________ eNMesh clothing

| Alls you have to do is ride for like a for day switch every now and then. And learn a switch wake jump. It really helps. |

What I do to practice switch is take my normal set and practice all my almost stock tricks until I was a little tired. Then practice just riding around switch for a while and doing little jumps basically focusing on things I knew I could land 90 percent of the time, then go back to regular and work on the new stuff.
Whenever its blown out crappy conditions or too rough to try your skectchy stuff then just ride switch. I used to always try and get last run to the dock across the lake(cove was at far end of lake) and just let them drag me across lake while I rode switch.
You can also have "switch wars" with someone about your same level and work on spraying each other etc. this makes it fun and gives both of you switch time leaving everyone with more water time.
Good luck, its all mental. _________________ Hold up....Wait a minute.... Let me put some pimpin in it! mmmmph |

When darting around the lake looking for the good water, ride switch. This is especially helpful on really busy lakes with lots of rollers or wind in the open areas. _________________ (insert funny chit here) |

Get a treadmill.
Tie a handle to it.
Put the speed on like 6 mph
Hold the handle and ride switch on a skateboard. You can even carve around and stuff. Really fun and a good simulation |

| PwR-HoUsE, dont worry it doesnt screw the belt up (maybe a mark that you can wipe off with your hand or water but its mainly dirt off your skate wheels), just dont go to fast in case some how the board slips out so you can catch it before it hits a wall. |

Switch is totally mental, just dont think about it and go for it. Its a lot easier than you think if you just try to have fun when your doing it. I found that the biggest problem for people with all tricks is thinking about it too much. Just have fun and dont worry about small problems, if you keep trying they will fix themselves. _________________ www.steelmx.com

| one thing too is that if you don't have a perfectly even stance, it can throw you pff a bit. but other than that, practice. |

| When i set my bindings usually my front foot has a strong angle towards the boat. It feels the best when riding.. watever the opposite of switch is, normal, which is goofy for me. so obviously when attempting to ride switch i get all messed up. at what angle should thwe bindings be facing? Straight away? |

why not just skateboard down a hill or just skateboard switch? Seems the treadmill would just complicate things. Riding switch is all about practice. The more you do it the more comfortable you will become. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| he recommended the treadmil thingy because it gives you the feeling of being pulled instead of just cruising....personally, i have my boots in the exact same place on either side of the board, both angled 15 degrees out....its really fun riding switch because its the same as regular. just practice flatwater ollies switch, and that will make things alot easier once you get it down |

I've been trying to get my dog (choco lab) to pull me down the street switch. She's still a little sketched out about the whole skateboard thing, but she's getting used to it. The faster we go, the louder the wheels are. THe louder the wheels, the faster she goes. Funny Cycle.

The hardest time I had with switch was not putting enough weight on my front foot, and like BelmontWake said | Quote: |
