Hey guys,

I was just wondering what everybody out there thinks about the X30 vs the X2. My friend bought an 05 X30 and I bought an 05 X2. We wanted to settle this over the forum, I wanna hear what you guys think.

Are you happy with your purchase? Is he happy with his purchase? If yes, it's settled.

We havn't had them on the water yet. We are from Alberta, Canada. Neither of us have ridden behind either boat. Personally i think an X30 is to big for out lakes up here.

Both boats rock.

Maybe your friend likes the X-30 more than the X-2, and you like the X-2 more than the X-30. Idea

Ok ive ridden off both boats and as far as wake there both saweet the x30s is a little more subtle and the x2 is a bit steeper

as interior the x30 has got a lot of room on the x2

to me i think there pretty much the same just the x30 is made for a bigger crew

Live2board, did you pick your boat up yet?

Mine is sitting in the yard, finally came in. I pick her up on the 16th.

Ok, I'll play. Live2board, you're boat sucks for rough water, interior space and storage compared to the X-30. You're buddies boat doesn't handle as nice and the wake doesn't give quite as much kick. The X-30 surf wake is better though.

I guess it depends what you want out of a boat. Looks like a tie... Shocked

i Demo'd 2 x30's before we ended up buying our Bu... An 05 and a 06. If the 06 would have been cheaper we might have that instead of our Bu but it wasnt by a long shot. It did have a lot of stuff the 05 lacked that we liked though. Performance wise they were very similar which wasnt a good thing. It drove like a dog.. wake however was nice. Cant say much for the x2 except its to small for my tatses.

Your trying to compair two diffrent boats made for diffrent types of buyers. The X-30 is NOT a wakeboarding boat, no tracking fins. The X-30 is more of a family boat that you could wakeboard behind, but you wont get the same kind of wake behind it as you would from the X-2.

But if you want a boat that you can pile a bunch of people in and go, and wakeboard some times then the X-30 is your boat. Now if you serious about wakeboarding the the X-2 is the way to go, you can still fit 6 people without being craped and it has one of the best wakeboarding wakes ever!!!

So i guess if you guys didnt ride the boats before you bought them, then i guess you get what you get and i hope your happy with what boat you got.

Pretty sure the X30/230VRS doesn't have tracking fins.

On the Mastercraft "Design-a-boat" section, the X30 definitely doesn't have tracking fins (however the X-2 and X-Star do).

X-30 doesn't need the tracking fins. The boat doesn't have a flat bottom and has a much deeper V then 95% of the boats in the same class. It doesn't need the fins...

Yep, checked today at work and you're all right.

The V runs the entire length of the boat, as the boat sits lower *into* the trailer than the X-2 and 'Star.

yeah your not going to pull the x30 around when cutting to the side that thing is a beast and as far as it not being a wakeboard boat that thing kicks ass for wakeboarding its killer
