| I was about to buy on ebay a CWB Pure board and the length is 134. On the web site, they say its for less than 170lbs. Will it really do anything if I am 178? |

You can ride a 134 but something bigger would most likely be better. I'm 5'11" and 185 lbs. and I ride a 141. My last two boards were a 137 and 138 and I like the 141 way more. I feel like I get more pop with more board surface. _________________ ......and one time at wakeboard camp. Come on people say something original. |

From what i've read....you should be looking at boards that are at least 138 at minimum, i'd look more at 140, 141. I ride with someone whom is similar weight and height to you- he rides a 141-42....when he rides my 138 he swears he'll never get one that small cause he feels he is too low (feels he cannot plane high enuff on the water). When he cuts toward wake his toes ride under water and create drag. If you can try some demo boards out at a shop, this would show you. People always have different opinions, if your not too sure always try a test run. _________________ The horror...... the horror. |

| weight recomendations are ONLY recomendations. i weigh 150 and ride a 128 and a 141. no problems on either just a different feel. if you havent ridden a wakeboard before id recommend ollowing the recommendations and once you know what you like screw the recommendations. |

Jetpilot05, 134-140
You can go higher and lower, but this is the general range for someone of your specs. _________________

Jetpilot05, if there is any possible way you could demo the sizes beforehand, you should. _________________

The Ski-Club board I ride at the moment is a Jobe 134 concussion-inducer which I sometimes can feel my backfoot drag/sink in the water while riding. It might be the board or the bindings which don't like to stay tight at all. I rode a 137 Tiga whilst on vacation in Greece last season. Im caught between 134 and the 139. Is 5 inches going to make much difference? (easy now... ) |

Jetpilot05, it's 5cm not 5in, and it really depends on you. I am inclined to say no. _________________

Yes I knew that sorry. Post riding concussion fuzz hehe another heavy toeside fall. I really should invest in a helmet. Or life insurance.
If it isnt going to make a huge difference then I might go with the 134. It looks much sweeter than the 139. |
