Anyone know anything about this board? I read on the other site that it was quite heavy. Looks like a good price for a concave though.

I can't find anything on these boards. Did Butter used to make wood decks or were they always compression molded. I am considering getting this board over the Cassette flat but am worried that this site/ board is not credible.

i know they DID make some wood butters, but i didnt know if they were for sale or not. i saw a few pics of them floating around, but i have only seen the compression molded version in stores. the butter board is actually really nice, and i would definitely pick one up over a cassette flat.

maybe wait a few days and see how doubleup138's order turns out?

The site is credible. The House has been around for many years. They used to be strictly mail order and had overstock or previous years merchandise.
As for the board, that's the first time I've seen a wood Butter. Looks nice though.

My friend just ordered one of those. From what i saw and felt, it seemed like a really solid skate. It seemed very thick and heavy though. I loved the foam and shape of it though. The only downside is the weight of it, but it didn't seem bad at all.

A friend of mine bought one at the Vancouver boat show, it has the smallest rocker I have ever seen on a board. It is also delaminating in 3 places after one use.....guess you get what you pay for.

the wood butter has a small rocker? my impression is that its identical to the compression molded butter skate, and that one worked great for me. in fact, i really liked it. not quite a fan of foam, though.

When compared to my LF wud it does not have much rocker. When I rode the Butter twice I nose dived after an olie...something I have never done on 3 other boards I have ridden. On the up side I found the rubber ( thats right the top seems more like rubber than foam) had more grip than the Hyperlite foam scape and I did find this board much easier to do lip slides...maybe cause it has more surface area with less rocker????

At a quick glance the butter appears to be 1" which is half of what a Cassette Concave has.

I would be more concerned with the delamination, I guess the people in China earning $6.00 a day making these things are not too concerned about quality.

As I said above a friend of mine bought one. I called him up last night and asked him to measure, he did not have a tape available but said with the 1 1/4" fins on it the middle of the board does not touch when laying flat on the floor and estimated a one inch rocker at most.
